Bryant is still alive
M. Emmet Walsh is still alive and a very active actor. Why no role?
Numerous reasons; one being, a scheduling conflict (he's active, but not young: 82). Also, he may have been offered something, but wasn't interested. I personally don't see what part he could have played that would have made a difference. Edward James Olmos' role was important in that it gave K ideas on how to find Deckard; and remember, his character had the final words in the first film, and he let Rachael and Deckard escape.
