So Rotten Tomatoes critics consensus gives thumbs up to the visuals and the narration, but does the soundtrack live up to its predecessor's? I'm quite worried about this as the trailer showed some rehashed notes, although I'm aware that music in trailers doesn't usually match that of the movie, so that's why I'm asking here.

I haven't seen 2049 yet but a friend of mine who is a Sound Enginer and works for lots of big International artists and is crazy fussy about sound just wrote the following on Facebook - so I have high hopes:
'Bladerunner 2049 is all kinds of awesome. And it hasn't shat on the original in any way whatsoever. Definitely see it at a mega screen, it looks spectacular in all the right ways and the sound design and sound track are seriously next level jaw droppingly good.'
