She looks like she hails from the "Blade Runner" world.

Concur. For a while I was almost certain that if another Blade Runner film was to be made, Rooney would unequivocally get cast in it - before any new actor - and be a perfect fit.

Suppose you can say casting her in this would have been predictable, but it would’ve felt right. That being said, doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a big loss not having her in 2049... maybe.

i agree. i thought she would be a better fit as Major in Ghost in the Shell.

she's too moody to play a blade runner... would suit anpther character
