Harrison Ford's acting in the trailer.
Is it me or he doesn't seem to be very into it?
shareHe hasn't seemed like he was into it in a while. He must be saving up for retirement, because I don't see any other reason he keeps coming back to these franchises. He seemed disinterested in the forth Indiana Jones, in the new Star Wars. And even thought Blade Runner 2049 isn't out yet, I'd bet he's going to be the same in it as well.
They should just leave the guy alone, and stop bringing him back to these movies.
Funny how some also say this about him in the first film, i.e., he looks disinterested through the entire thing. But if I'm not mistaking, that's actually how his character was supposed to be like, so... I suppose he's simply staying true to Deckard in this film?
IF in reality Ford didn't show any genuine interest to be involved in this, well, ultimately it benefits his performance. :p Bear in mind that his character is way past his blade runner days in 2049, and since 30 years ago he had already had enough, it makes sense that he would appear to be even less enthusiastic this time around.
As for his Stars Wars return, I think he had all the right energy an older Han could show.
Yes, his character was about a retired cop reluctantly embarking on a new mission.
From watching his many interviews about Blade Runner, Star Wars & other movies,
It seems that Blade Runner is one of the few movies he was genuinely proud to talk about.
As for Star Wars, He was not fond of his character and the franchise. He viewed it as a childish money grab. He was not very happy doing the sequels to A New Hope.
What I meant was that in the newly released Trailer, he is not giving it his all, he is more like simply going through motions.
I fear that he feels the movie is just a money grab like the last Indiana Jones.
