My parents and I went to see it and we all have it very high scores. My step-mom said that of all the things we did over the holidays--and we did a lot of stuff--going to see this film was the highlight for her.
I found it to be a delightfully old fashioned sports drama of the sort that you just don't see much of anymore. There was nothing woke about it, and no gay characters shoved in for no reason. It was just a very well-made film that positively portrayed such things as white folks, the importance of hard work and determination, and pride in country.
It was well-cast, well-written and well-directed, and I loved the way it brought 1930s America to life.
