Nice film

I just watched this with my wife and my Niece. She's on her college rowing team.

It was well paced. It's a 2 hr movie but it feels short.

The acting is good. I love that a lot is inferred without doologue.

It's a decent film.

This is a really accurate post. I saw it in the theater a few days ago. It is a light, easy movie without twists or surprises. But the underdog story still gives it some compelling drama. The main character, Joe Rantz, was the strong silent type so, it’s absolutely true what you say about the limited dialogue. It helped when his character shared the screen with the Joyce character who was lively and funny. I thought the movie suffered in not telling us much about any of the other guys in the 8-man crew. The cinematography was really good though, especially the overhead shots of the races using drones.

My parents and I went to see it and we all have it very high scores. My step-mom said that of all the things we did over the holidays--and we did a lot of stuff--going to see this film was the highlight for her.

I found it to be a delightfully old fashioned sports drama of the sort that you just don't see much of anymore. There was nothing woke about it, and no gay characters shoved in for no reason. It was just a very well-made film that positively portrayed such things as white folks, the importance of hard work and determination, and pride in country.

It was well-cast, well-written and well-directed, and I loved the way it brought 1930s America to life.

Better than decent, in my opinion. I thought it was excellent. My parents also thought the same. For me, it's easily a Top 10 film of this year and quite possibly Top 5.
