The theater had a technical problem and could not start it for 52 minutes.

Since we already know how the story ends, the build up to it was not great, but not horrible either. If you know nothing about competitive rowing, you won't learn much either.

I did not believe that those college rowing matches drew attendance of 100,000 people in 1936, as claimed by director George Clooney in this movie.

Ah shit, this was directed by George Clooney. He's not a good director at all. That's just a fact. Great actor sure, but just a wildly mediocre filmmaker coasting off 'GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK'. Which I found overrated tbh.

Goodnight and Good Luck and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind were both quite solid.

And, at least in my opinion, The Boys in the Boat is very easily a Top 10 film of this year.
