This movie killed the franchise

The first Percy Jackson film made more money, The Sea of Monsters killed the franchise and that's it. Percy Jackson could get a reboot in a few years.

The first one already killed it. This was a decent attempt but not enough to revive the series.

agreed, the first movie was a disaster and they actually did start to make a comeback with this movie but it just wasn't enough.

Yeah, the first one was far inferior to this one.

The first movie was more mature though, I felt that turning this movie in to some sort of Harry Potter/Men in Black crossover with all of the magic taxis and 8-armed coffee shop employees seemed a bit farcical. I felt like I should be watching it with my son rather than on my own.

If they changed what happened once they were stealing the Fleece from the cyclops to the end(excluding Thalia's resurrection scene) it would have been good movie. They should have had Annabeth get injured by Polyphemus, use the Fleece and escape the island. Luke corners them after Clarisse leaves with Fleece. Percy uses his water powers to distract and allows the gang to escape.
