S2, without Eddie Izzard Or Noah Taylor.. Little chance for this show
Season one was a guilty pleasure, even with the - wooden acting (or no acting ability at all like the actress for pilgrim) , disjointed story, dialogue is beyond bad at times, special effects are laughable.
What got me as a viewer was the theme of the series, the potential it had with its story and the opportunities the idea of superheroes being more like celebrities than typical comic superheroes, but all of that potential is not being to put to good use in this new season.
This seasons writing is already even worse than the last. The acting has not improved at all. All the things a series that is coming back for another go should reassess and build on from the last, they have not done. In-fact they seem to be looking to focus more on calista and zoras characters even more with he lack of Izzard and Noah, which is a terrible attempt to fill the void they've left. They needed to bring in new characters to have a chance with that. Not the two most unreliable and hollow characters from the first season. The writing when it comes to them, especially calista, is just terrible. Her motivations and personality plainly suck, are not realistic at all and not believable. Zora is more believable - better written. Least so far with this season, painting her as the broken character who's ego and pride have been taken down a peg. Theres potential there, but will likely be under-utilised.
For those wondering is season 2 is worth your time, even if season one was a guilty pleasure. I can't recommend continuing the guilt watching without Izzard and Taylor. There's not enough substance left in the series.
