There's a good movie in here.

This movie was right in the middle for me as is. Not good by any means but not really awful either.I'm sure I'll be ripped to sheds from both sides for saying this but I think mostly why this movie didn't work was due to the editing and music. If twenty minutes had been cut I think the movie's pace would have greatly increased and would have just worked better. Some of the scenes that are genuinely funny turn flat very quickly because they go on so long. Also, the music selection was pretty awful and took away from the movie. This movie should have stuck strictly to songs from these characters youth. Just my two cents.

Love your response. I am not living in the USA, so didn't know these ladies were supposed to be the prima comediennes but I had relatives visiting from USA so streamed it (Thank goodness I didn't have to pay to see this garbage) It was like Porkie's with menopausal women. The Big guy running around acting like a psycho I didn't get, like who in their right mind would let people trash a property like that, at that age, the only time I laughed was when the guys underpants caught fire. There was a lot of potential but it didn't seem to follow through. I love silly humor, even the Hangover Series made me scream with laughter. The only movie worse than this was the one with Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon, can't remember the name of it, that was shut off after about 20 minutes!!

At the risk of giving you nightmares, the Vergara/Witherspoon movie you are trying to forget is "Hot Pursuit". To say it was tedious would be too generous.

Interesting point about the music. I was not sure why we would expect people like the main characters here to listen to some of the crap included. To be trendy? Why would those characters be concerned about that?

Oh, the filmmakers would be concerned, to widen the demographic. Of course!
