Anne and Chris

I was a bit confused about the relationship between Anne and Chris. So I just want to clarify that Anne was in fact paid to sleep with him at first because Vincent wanted her as well? Just wondering also how that one guy who was constantly accompanied by Anne knew about this and was able to disclose this to Chris in the bathroom scene. Also why did Vincent feel like he needed to go through Chris if he just wanted to sleep with her?

Then the very last scene where she asks Chris if he wanted to grab a coffee sometime. Was that supposed to seem suspicious? The way it ended and his reaction just seemed all weird. Maybe I just missed a few things in the end because so much information was revealed so quickly.

I believe Vincent had already slept with Anne. He wanted some accomplices in his loft adultery lifestyle, so he got Anne to sleep with Chris once to get him hooked. I got vibes that the guy always with Anne was either her pimp, or someone who knew where she was at all times.

She cut things off with Chris because she didn't think she was good enough for him and couldn't trust him. Apparently months later, she has changed her mind and asked him out for a drink. But, with everything that happened, Chris is hesitant, which is why it just cuts to black.

Chris I think was the only one who hadn't bought in yet. Splitting the mortgage five ways instead of four may have been the reason, as well as a way to negate Chris' self-righteousness as he probably saw it (and he kind of was--"I don't cheat on my wife", and yet he actually does in fairly short order).

And the older guy she was frequently with was a city councilman, and probably fairly wealthy and connected--a sugar daddy perhaps, and probably favored her a bit and maybe even helped her network in her profession (and as a political player, he might have used her to get secrets from others too--like the big shot architectural contractor Vincent--so as to have stuff on them). Not a pimp, but maybe she confided in him more than others, as a "daddy figure". She was probably able to go free-lance as a high-priced "escort".

Understanding is a three-edged sword.

I think Vincent got off to be able to get every woman the other guys really liked/loved.

He slept with Anne who Chris was in love with.

Slept with Marty's wife. Marty was disgusting but apparently still loved his wife. Typical fat, unattractive guy syndrome where he will sleep with anyone who wants to sleep with him

Slept with Phillips sister.

Slept with Sarah who was the obsession of Luke.

Just wanted to prove he could do it I think.

I agree chris I think that's what Vincent was all about.

But 1. Philip had an unhealthy obsession with his sister. She was technically up for dibs. 2. Vincent slept with the hooker before he hooked her up with Chris and probably never knew Chris was in love with her. For all we know the video of him banging her was from the 1st week at the loft. Maybe he thought Chris would bang her and move onto other women. How was he to know Chris would fall in love that quick. 3. Marty's wife was just deplorable. No excuses for that. Only thing i could thinkis maybe he thought of she slept with him she'd feel guilty and take Marty back quick she did. But still that's the only 1 i tHink he was wrong for banging. 4. He didn't know geeky guy was in love with his chic. Vincent had her 1st. So Luke had no rights to her. Actually Luke was being horrible trying to steal his friends side piece
