(SPOILER AHEAD FOR THOSE WHO HADN'T SEEN THE MOVIE):
Tushar, friend; You can continue to rant against the movie--
because to each his own, actually, and that's fair...
You can also comment here on a way that "looks down" on and ridicules a very Good
Bollywood entertainer-- which Agneepath 2012 is-- in my opinion---
But it would've been better if you'd addressed some basic facts before doing so:
The actor/hero is punched/stabbed and shot (was he shot? don't remember that...),
But,
because of his injuries HE DOES DIE in the end!!!
Did you happen to miss that part, maybe, hmm?
Actually AGNEEPATH 2012 shows results-of-violence far more realistically than SOME other Bollywood movies of recent years...
and here, Dear Tushar, is a MAJOR SURPRISE:
It shows the results of violence even more realistically than
MANY OF THE HOLLYWOOD FILMS.
Don't agree? Watch the "EXPENDABLES" movie with Stallone
(2'nd one coming soon)...
Watch the entire "THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS" movies-line.
Watch Van Damme / The Rock / Chuck Norris / Vin Diesel
movies, to name only a few.
I guess you get so much realism from those movies, I guess, and you'd like the Indian cinema to be more in "that vein", huh?
Mind you; I'm not looking down on the Hollywood films, or the wonderful (Hollywood) Action stars I mentioned above.
I simply ADORE and ENJOY most, if not all, of their movies.
I'm especially a Chuck Norris and The Rock's fan...
But from there, to NOT recognizing the wonderful and amazing work done in AGNEEPATH 2012, on all accounts and aspects; from great and moving music, excellent and Heartfelt performances to greatly choreographed action scenes-- the distance is very-very long indeed, for me at-least.
Cheers!!! :-)
