Good Political Film...

The more time passes, the more we can step back and look objectively at these events.

A few things strike me, first, McCain could have chosen the Second Coming of Christ as his Veep running mate, and he still would have lost in a landslide. This was a generation defining 'wave' election, similar to 1980 for the GOP.

But does this render the 'Palin saga' irrelevant? I don't think so. It was a sign of the nature of the political divide in the US. Its one of the more fascinating stories in American political history.

Good film, but clearing biased towards the left. It could have succeeded without so much bias, but then again, the typical Hollywood treatment is part of the larger picture.

The one thing that bothers me is the gloomy, doomsday music played in the ending credits and when McCain/Palin went after Obama on 'character issues'. This is just silly. Politics has been a nasty gutter fight for as long as America has existed. The rise and fall of Sarah Palin was nothing new nor that unique.
