Get Laverne and Shirley to guest star!
If 2 Broke Girls got Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams to guest star, wouldn't that be the most perfect guest appearances!
The original 2 broke girls meet the new generation of 2 broke girls

No.
Awful idea.
Good idea. I just don't know how they would meet as characters instead of Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams. Would it be a dream? Would they go back in time to the sixties? Maybe Laverne and Shirley have their own diner and are driving Han out of business.
shareWell probably because of copyright and legal issues, there is no way that Penny Williams and Cindy Williams can actually play the Laverne and Shirley characters. I'm thinking if they got them to guest star, these would be the perfect scenarios
- have them as two customers in the diner, Marshall and Williams comment on how they and Max and Caroline had a similar type friendship and of being broke
- some new apartment tenants for one episode
- or maybe we finally meet Max's always heard about, but never seen mom! And she's played by Cindy Williams! Later in the episode, we see that she is roommates with Penny Marshall
Sitcoms will let other characters in just for parody. But L and S have been gone almost 40 years now. If any rights haven't expired, I'm sure they'd be free or not much more than that. But anyway, a competing diner is driving Max out of business run by Louise and Sharon. (guess who?)
sharePenny Marshall and Cindy Williams did reunite for a episode of a Nickaledeon sitcom called Sam and Cat, which starred a pre-infamous Arianna Grande.
If they can reunite for an episode of a Nick sitcom that nobody is going to remember long term, then it will be very ideal and so perfect if they were to do a guest spot on 2 Broke Girls.
Imagine the big ratings the show would get!
It makes perfect sense. Laverne and Shirley were a bit goody-goody when they had their own show, but on their guest spot on Happy Days, they were very much a Max & Caroline.
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
Because Laverne and Shirley took place in the '60s, there's no way either of them could have a daughter as young as Max.
