But IMDB took away the search option, so just help me out. Why is the girls never got fired from the diner job? Supposedly they suck and they are really cruel to their boss. There a million young people in Brooklyn....no one needs a job?
shareThere are a million young people in real Brooklyn but they don't have part on a TV sitcom. But, suppose they were real waitresses, Max and Caroline are the only ones who could tolerate Sophie, Oleg, and Earl, cheap wages, and a boss who cracks about how lousy they're doing their jobs. And no real waitress in Brooklyn could ever keep a horse in an apartment. Sitcoms just couldn't be funny if it all was arranged like a real place.

shareThey don't get fired because they have a love/hate relationship with Han (the boss). They actually bailed him out of a 30K debt in the 5th season finale and became part owners of the diner. He doesn't fire them because he actually likes having them around.
shareHey, you're good. While were at it, why didn't Seinfeld just move out of his apartment if he didn't like Kramer? Why didn't Frazier quit his talk show if his ratings weren't good enough, etc. etc. But of course if 2 Broke Girls were fired and started their own diner or got better paying jobs, then they wouldn't be 2 Broke Girls! It's a sequel: 2 Rich Girls.
