They have No money but spend it on being high. And somehow they are able to keep a horse in the apartment.

They think they are important but the truth is they are just immature brats who never deal with anything seriously. Think Brittany Spears but more obnoxious.

What you don't see is two waitresses busting their asses during the dinner rush at the diner. They probably pull in over $1000 a week between them. And I always thought max exaggerated her pot smoking. She's way to functional. Let's assume $100 worth of weed lasts her 2 weeks. Also, they have a crummy rent controlled apartment and split the rent on that. It's only a 1 bedroom
