It seems like they have been making him come across as getting a bit senile. He has pretty much always been pretty sharp, but it seems to me they are changing him up. I don't care for it.

They don't have a lot to work with and he's getting older so it's not too surprising. I don't like it but it's to be expected =/
shareI definitely agree there isn't much to work with! lol His character is just pointless in my opinion. The others all seem to have some sort of purpose, but I don't see him as having one unless you would count him as being some stability for Max, since they seem to care for eachother very much.
I think maybe it is more the fact of how sudden it began, not so much that it is happening. It is quite reasonable to expect that to happen as he ages, but it just seemed to come out of nowhere, in my opinion.

Agreed. He hasn't had many solo storylines but I always liked his place on the show. I don't know why they had to screw it up
