Ridiculously short episodes this season

Previous seasons, like Freak Show, which I am re-watching could run anywhere between 45-55 minutes long. Not just a short ep count, but short running times. This last one was 39 min. I feel like we're rushing through this season

Take the pointless Stevie Nicks song out and it's even shorter.

Oh yeah sorry but the songs are definitely not my favorite part either. Why on God's earth did they do that. It just eats up what little time the show does run.

I don't have that option. On demand you can't fast forward. And the Stevie nix numbers are loathsome.

I don't mind as I would prefer it to be a bit shorter if that's what it takes for that particular episode to take the story to the end, like you I watch advert free though (in Australia).

I've noticed that is something a few of the streaming services do, Netflix shows have varying lengths, as do Amazon Prime ones, The Man In The High Castle has had episodes vary between 38 and 70 minutes. I quite like that though as I hate when shows drag an episode out or it finishes and you think wow they wrapped that up quick (usually in the last 8 minutes or so), Better Call Saul has done that as well this year.
