I responded to a question in another thread that got me thinking....
one potential storyline or question, I hope the writers have thought of is....what would happen to all The Ghost's at The Hotel and Murder House that are Bound to the Estates If The Bombs Fell and Completely Obliterated the 2 foundations...If theres is no Hotel or MH are The Ghosts free to go anywhere, do they finally Pass on.....Its a fascinating question and I hope the writers thought of it and address it in This season...
If they thought of this it could make for an amazing subplot and Great Episodes....and I would be incredibly interested to see where the decided to go with it if they thought about it
any thoughts or theories what would happen to the ghosts If The Bombs Fell and Completely Obliterated the 2 foundations....
That is a real good question as to what happens. I am assuming we will return to Murder House for at least one episode because I saw teasers on Facebook of them all. This episode however would take place before the bomb I am assuming.
Well if you consider the marketing for this season, which featured the Murder House with devastation around it but not destroyed as canon, then its probably safe to assume the bomb did not obliterate the structure. The Hotel Cortez is likely safe too since Cordelia referred to it as a Hellmouth (nice Buffy reference).
The other thing we are probably all thinking about is that we saw the Hotel Cortez in 2022 and there was no apocalypse. This season takes place in 2021. So a likely scenario for how this all ends is the prevention of the apocalypse via time travel spell or something.

when did we see Hotel Cortez in 2022, I'm having a hard placing it?
The final episode of Season 5. Billie Dean Howard was doing a special in the future covering Devil's Night. There was text on the screen clearly establishing the date/year.
Going by that in Roanoke the colony was there before the house was built and likely still there long after the house is gone, my guess would be they'd write it as the ghosts in the house and hotel remained bound to them and to them it would appear the hotel and house are still there.
I know there have been stories in the past where a house is burnt down killing the occupants and the newly built house is supposedly haunted by those who died. One I do know is the fire at Cocoanut Grove nightclub in Boston back in 1942 that killed 492 people and even now as the the Revere Hotel (formerly the Boston Radisson) it is said strange things happen there and ghosts of people from that fire are seen (even when the site was a parking lot apparently weird things happened there).
So yeah just based on what they did with Roanoke and other myths and legends around these things I'd say that it'd be written as them staying, unless of course the Apocalypse in the story was designed to free them. I say that because they have said a couple of times of Murder House that it is where it all began, so there could be that option open as well.

true but If I remember right I think theres a big difference....
The Roanoke coolony seemed to be bound to the land and NOT the house specifically....
If you'll remember, In Hotel,Or This season, The very second they walk out the Hotel door, They go back to where they were in The Hotel, suggesting they are bound IN THE HOTEL....
Murder House may be a better example for what you are saying as There are 2 example that suggests they May be Bound to The Property and not the house....
SPOILERS****************************
If You'll remember when Violet finds out she's a Ghost she tries to leave The House repeatedly only to be caught in a loop of going out the front door and coming in the back door, but If I remember right on the first couple attempts, she actually makes to The Gate, and upon leaving the gate(The Property) is when she gets taken back to the house....This time suggesting they are bound to The Property Not the House
The Next example is when Addy dies, Constance only feel its important to get Addy ON The Property before she passes away, instead of in the house itself....
to me These 2 example may suggest The ghost are tied to the Property as you are saying....although there is certainly ways to write around these, Upon the Destruction of The House or HOtel, It could Lift The curse and the Ghost may no longer be bound to the properties, They could explain it away but saying The House ON The Property is was Bounds them, No House, No Longer Bound to Property...
But I do at least see a strong case for The ghosts of MH being bound to The Property as your saying rather than just the house
Yeah good points and as I say perhaps part of what is the Apocalypse was designed to free them from the House and walk earth with the Devil for eternity. Well in a Biblical sense anyway (regardless of religious thoughts a story is there at the least), that whole bit about the sinners being left on Earth to wallow in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years and etc., with this bit:
Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.
So if Michael Langdon is Satan or the spawn thereof, it goes to there must be a God and Jesus as well as you can't have one without the other really, and there are those stories of the end of Earth will come at mans hand which plays into the shows narrative.
But yeah just spit-balling things really, though after I put that up I got way too far into it (fell down a google hole) and started searching stuff to which I found this Ghosts 101 thing: https://ghosts101.com/happens-ghosts-haunted-house-burns/
Which has:
I can think of one case where a ghost (or ghosts) remained attached to the physical structure rather than its former location.
That’s the Tyng Mansion in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts (USA). The house was haunted long before it was destroyed by a devastating fire.
(The fire was rumored to be arson.)
What remained at the site — mostly charred building materials — was bulldozed. They pushed the rubble into a slightly marshy field next to the home’s foundation.
The remaining foundation of the house seems normal and generally inactive.
Instead, I’ve seen EMF spikes around the overgrown, somewhat marshy, rubble-strewn land next to it. That’s where you’ll see evidence of decaying outbuildings.
So yeah the Roanoke bound to the land could be similar in that they are bound to the ruins of the Colony.
