8.2 - "The Morning After" is a another slow episode *SPOILERS*

-No witches this episode
-Rubber Man shows up and screws Mr. Gallant. And if it's really Tate Langdon, then that means Evan Peters screwed Evan Peters. Although it could have been Michael playing tricks on Evan. At least that is sort of implied near the end. We still don't know the extent of Michael Langdon's power as of this episode.
-A lot more bickering, most of the plot development happens at the end.
-Joan Collins is killed.
-Kathy Bates is shot and turns out to be an android a la Bishop from 'Aliens.' Milky insides and all.

Mostly a slow episode. Not bad but they really need to pick up the pace, especially since this is a short season.

Thought the preview showed the witches walking in?

How is JC killed?

reply

The preview is misleading. It was clearly an amalgam of upcoming episodes. I don't think the witches will show up until mid-season.

Gallant murders his nana thinking he was killing Rubber Man. And it is implied that Michael Langdon was making Gallant see things that were not there.

overall much better episode....

Loved The Rubber Man showing up...

shocked by The reveal Bates is a Android...

really starting to like where its going, just wish there were more Coven/Muder House...but Overall I'm very happy so far

reply

I feel strongly about the theory that the Coven/Murder House crossover is going to be relegated to flashbacks in 1 or 2 episodes only. But then again, they surprised me with the android reveal, so maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised again.

also Is 10 episodes considered a shorten season?

I just checked and some other seasons were 12 and 13 Episodes but There has been some season with 10 and 11....

This season isnt shorter than 10 episodes right?

reply

No. I didn't say it was the shortest season. Its tied with Roanoke at 10.

I hate to be critical of this show but I found the second episode to be even more boring than the first episode.

I'm also tired of the overused bad language and all the gay stuff being shoved down our throats every season. We get it Ryan, you are gay!

reply

I agree it was kind of boring but at least there were some surprises. I don't mind the gay stuff and I haven't even noticed the profanity this season. Last season, the language was used so excessively that it was distracting.

I'm ok with the pacing. I find with any season in AHS that I'm frustrated at the beginning because I just want to know whats happening. That's impatience for you :)

I have to admit it took me until seeing the Rubber Man to realise who Michael was. It has been 7/8 years though since season 01 so I forgive my brain. Was excited to see the Rubber Man though because it's another connection other than Michael to Season 01.

I didn't see the android thing coming (also are they androids or will they go an alien route?) but I do keep questioning if the whole thing is actually real. Has the world really ended or is it not real like The Matrix, or are they in a dream or is it an elaborate set up for a social type experiment to see how people react. But them I remember we have Michael the anti-christ and what would he get out of that.

I'm liking Cody Fern as Michael. I'm getting a very interview with a vampire vibe from the character.

Not looking forward to Emma Roberts return, I'm not a big ER fan but I suppose her Madison character was ok and worked for Coven. I'm just not sure I want to see Madison temper tantums in this series but I will wait and see how it plays out before judging.

On a side note I feel sorry for Adina Porter, yes they are all stuck in a dark bunker but so was her character in The 100. So a lot of darkness while shes been acting this year! :)
