Is it true about her characters? That they always survive.
I haven't seen every season. I just started watching Freak Show.
I think they do.

Nope --- but I guess she got the most Happy Ends.
*Spoiler ahead*
Season 1 - Minor role (but survives)
Season 2 - Happy End
Season 3 - Happy End
Season 4 - Happy End
Season 5 - Already Dead (a ghost) (but gets salvation - if I remember right)
Season 6 - Dies (her funniest role)
Season 7 - Happy End
Even so she dies once - you can sense a pattern ;)
