So Ally might be suffering from delusions (are the clowns actually there?) and who knows what else. Does anyone know what Kai has? (referencing the cheetoh face mask, brazenly throwing coffee on strangers, humping the t.v., the incident with the hispanics, etc)

I would say Kai might be a sociopath. He wants to control people and has no desire to help any of his followers.
