i know coven and hotel were also a bit grungy (even possibly asylum but i don't know about freak show and roanoke) but there was just something murder house had with the style (the make-up, music, characters, quotes, etc.). i hope we'll get something like that again soon

What was grunge about MH? And no, I totally disagree. The art deco glam, and especially Liz's hollywood glam is what made the season for me.
sharethe aesthetic style, quotes (like the one about the devil in episode 6), tate's skeleton make-up, violet and tate's relationship, violet's personality and alternative style..... the list goes on
like for real, it's all over tumblr (at least of what i'm following). dunno if you're aware or not, but grunge is also kind of a style, not just a music genre p:

I know it's a subculture and not just a music genre, but I dont use tumblr so have no idea what they're yapping about, nor do I care. To me Violet was a bit of an emo hipster hybrid. As far as the production is concerned, no I cant see grunge. If you think it's grunge that;s fine. It was not a criticism but a question.
