Sorry....I just watched the finale last

night. Apparently, I was such a fan, I didn't realize I hadn't seen the ending until going through my DVR.

May I say....WTFudge? This show, that show, and then another show...I'm just upset. Can someone explain to me...how this was tucked into a neat a little ball that we should all walk away a say, "Ummm...that was good. Can't wait for the next season."?

reply

We "all" shouldn't be doing anything, seeing as how each individual person forms their own specific opinion of each series.

You either like it or you don't.

Less than forget. But more than begun.

reply

Okaayyyy... Perhaps I should rephrase for the *beep* out there who choose to reply without giving an answer and saying 'you like it or you don't'. I do like the series...just wondering...did I miss something? What...this whole season was about a woman who killed her husband, then killed herself so her daughter could live?

Is that 'horror'? What was the point of the 'return'? Just to give the actors spots? There was no rhyme nor reason...again, if I am missing something, PLEASE clue me in.

reply

I liked it and thought it was good and I personally can't wait for the next season. If you didn't like it, oh well.

reply

I'm sorry....for you and the other two dopes who responded....WHERE did I say I didn't like it???

I'm asking if there is something that I missed. *I* thought they should have stopped the season before the "Return to" part, but they did not. I'm wondering if I missed something important in the episodes after that that made it relevant.

reply

WTFudge

I'm upset

That sort of sounded like someone who didn't like it to me. Bt basically the use of the other shows to show the idea of exploitation. Crack'd was supposed to exploit Lee and her life and she just wanted to be understood. She went on The Lana Winters Special to clear her name in which her environment could be controlled, but she found out her daughter ran away. Spirit Chasers exploited the house's horror and danger and people think it was a joke and only for entertainment's purposes. This whole season was supposed to say "You've come to gain something for yourself, but you'll get something else", the dangers of exploitation.

reply

Yes...I was upset that I didn't 'get it', and wondered if I missed something. I'm not in the mindset of going on public forums to berate shows I don't like or even watch or call people names for liking a show I think is stupid.

While I understand what you are saying, I don't see how the whole season was 'exploitation'. Unless....I am missing something. I've watched all the seasons except for the last bit of the 1st.

And true...I didn't like the finale...but only because I'm thinking I really missed some vital piece. I like the first part...(even though it was slow) but the whole "return", just didn't 'jive', and then the finale...I don't know. I guess I got lost and I'll chalk to up to, well...whatever.

reply

or call people names

But you did exactly that. No one called you names. Maybe you should reread your posts and analyse how you came across.

And a thanks to Gabe would have been nice.

reply

I'm sorry....for you and the other two dopes who responded

Someone sure woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

reply

Perhaps...and I should apologize. However...in my defense, (Which is not an apology at all, I know) I asked a simple question and all I received was..."well if you don't like it!"

Note to self...ask no questions on IMDb. EVER.

reply

I think Gabe summed it up for you. Did you miss that the finale actually takes place between arc 1 and arc 2? Maybe that's where the confusion is.

And yes I do think the theme was exploitation.

reply

Yes, I did miss that...perhaps I can get a handle on it.

reply

👍

reply

The finale most clearly takes place well after Return To Roanoke. Not in between.

reply

Can someone explain to me..

No. If you didnt like it you didnt like it but no one has to justify to you why they did

reply

Gee. thanks. ANOTHER non sequitur. Where did I ask ANYONE to justify why the liked it?

"Can someone explain it to me/"...means....can you explain the LAST EPISODE!

reply

I'm not sure at all what your point was. You wanted to hate on it then act like you didn't hate on it. Just stand with what you started with instead of bitching at people for reading what you wrote.

-
Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

reply

But I never was hating on it...I was asking for an explanation!

reply

Good god. Watch it again instead of being unhappy with replies.

Ffs.

reply

I'm really not trying to be mean, but when I first read OP's initial post the first thing that popped into my head was "This person probably watches Teen Mom."

I feel kinda bad for being right 

Less than forget. But more than begun.

reply

I'm not sure why the snarky reaction. We three 'dopes' were not rude. We acknowledged that she didnt like the finale

I love the shrug emote.

reply

I'm snarky because I asked a simple question and ALL I got in return was...if you don't like it, you don't like it.

*I* never said I didn't like it.

reply

We three DOPES of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Born a king on Bethlehem's plain,
Gold I bring to crown Him again,
King forever, ceasing never
Over us all to reign.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Frankincense to offer have I.
Incense owns a Deity nigh.
Prayer and praising all men raising,
Worship Him, God on high.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Myrrh is mine: it's bitter perfume
Breaths a life of gathering gloom.
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding dying,
Sealed in the stone-cold tomb.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.

Glorious now behold Him arise,
King and God and Sacrifice.
Alleluia, alleluia!
Sounds through the earth and skies.

O star of wonder, star of night,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

reply

okay...

reply

LMAO!

As far as the show the first episode kinda lulled me to sleep...in the beginning .

But within those few minutes I instantly became intrigued and from then on really enjoyed this season .

It was satisfying, twisted, clever, and fairly intense at times .

The only thing I felt was kinda off was how it ended it just seemed so anticlimactic as well as depressing considering Lee was the strongest character of the entire season .

Just my opinion .

reply

Yes, that is how I felt. There was a 'disconnect' there. (For me)..which is why I was asking if I had missed something.

reply

Nods same it was a sad ending to say the least .

I don't even remember how Hotel ended it was all over the place .

reply

Yeah...I do watch that...and? Don't we all have our little 'guilty pleasures'?

I'm also watching Aftermath...which sucks, but I have to see how it ends.

reply

Don't we all have our little 'guilty pleasures'?

Urrrmmm...no. I certainly do not feel guilty about the shows I watch.

Nope...I dislike cats and weigh in at a whopping 122lbs.

I also watch such drivel as Real Housewives, The Goldbergs, This Is Us, Bates Motel, The Flash, Modern Family. Kinda pissed that this will be the last season of Grimm. Excited, but not waiting with bated breath, for Legion. Also, suffered through Channel Zero...but will honestly say I will watch the next installment.

If your intent was to 'insult' me, I'm sorry to disappoint you.

reply

I dislike cats

Wow. Sort of explains why you're such an angry, over reactive person. Cats probably dislike you as well.

reply

Wow...how hurtful! 

reply

How could you dislike this. You must have a little shrivelled up block of coal for a heart.

reply

I think kittens are cute. I don't care for cats. It's a preference. Some people don't like dogs.

I wouldn't go out of my way to run over a cat, and I have taken cats in and tried to find their owners. *I* prefer to not own cats.

Yes...my miserly, Grinchy heart. Even Grinch didn't have cats. He had a dog.

reply

I prefer to not own cats is very different to what you said. Just like your comment in the OP then you tried to backpedal. Give it up already. You either cant say what you mean or you cant stand by your own words when called on it.

Still no thankyou to gabe for answering you, just a need to stand and bark away.

reply

I dislike cats and prefer not to have them...that's not backpedalling...that's expanding on your inference that I have no heart.

What statement did I not stand by in my OP?

Why give a thank you to Gabe...he/she wasn't helpful at all. Should I send out personal 'thank you's to all posters who reply on threads?

And I am not 'barking' at all.

reply

You barking ingrate. Gabe is one of the nicest people on this board and certainly did give you an answer. So did I by the way. Go scratch your fleas elsewhere, dear. Tata.

reply

Talk about bitchy.

YIKES!

reply

Why give a thank you to Gabe...he/she wasn't helpful at all.

You literally may be the meanest person that has ever posted on this message board.

Less than forget. But more than begun.

reply

No...just honest. Why give a thanks to everyone? Is this 1st grade?

reply

[deleted]

He didn't quote me...however, I did apologize to Gabe and I thanked him.

Now...bugger off.

reply

Now...bugger off.

Thank you, kind sir, or madam for your most helpful response.

reply

I thought you were referring to my second response to when you were confused.

reply

I am SO sorry. I didn't realize that you had posted a second time. Obviously, I can't pay attention, which might be why I was so confused about the finale!!

My apologies and Thank You.

reply

I didn't realize that you had posted a second time. Obviously, I can't pay attention, which might be why I was so confused about the finale!!

Yes, sums it all up. You have goldfish brain because you responded to his second post but immediately forgot, you rabid land piranha.

reply

[deleted]

Not at all, you foolish child. I don't know if Gabe is a man or a woman.

reply

you also show a great deal of disrespect for people of transgender origin also?

This person watches Teen Mom and you expect them to be a decent human being?

Less than forget. But more than begun.

reply

Is Gabe transgendered? If so, HOW in the world am I to know that?

reply

Let's settle this once and for all: I'm not transgendered. And I'm a man-boy.

reply

Well, in an attempt not to further offend you, I tried 'cover my bases' and then was called out on that!

man-boy??

reply

man-boy??

I am no longer a boy but not quiet a man.

reply

[deleted]

I also dislike canned peaches, would you like to call me out on that?

First, you try to 'insult' me by insinuating I have 'several' cats, now I'm a monster because I don't like them.

reply

[deleted]

I understand...asking for an explanation and wondering if I totally missed something equates to a Teen Mom watcher.

Wow! I guess that was you being 'cute'.

reply

Me just existing in the world is me being 'cute'.

Less than forget. But more than begun.

reply

Okay, sure!

reply

For me it was also about Lee's personal growth, initially she just wanted custody of her daughter for her own selfish reasons, not what was best for her daughter. She would do anything achieve that goal even kills Mason who Flora would need her in life. By the end we see Lee willing sacrifice herself, so Flora could live a full productive life.

reply

Ah, ha! I see...so she redeemed herself. Thanks...I hadn't thought of that. OKAY...now this pieces are falling into place.

Thank you.

reply

OKAY...now this pieces are falling into place.
