The year that Sally died, 1994, is the same year Marcia Clarke got involved in the O.J. Simpson trial. I'm guessing it might be a nod to both shows.

I have this idea of a bizzaro scenario where Marcia, played by Sarah, is the prosecutor for an AHS character who killed Sarah's AHS character that season, but I think that would make my brain hurt too much.
