have to be back before sunrise? I'm rewatching MH ep5 and I've forgotten why ? googled but didnt get any results & would appreciate someone putting my mind at ease, thanks! ? its bugging the *beep* outta me

They weren't ghosts, they were actually vampires and that's why they needed to be back before sunrise.

All kidding aside, it's because they were allowed to leave the house once a year on Halloween. It's a bit confusing since the end of Halloween would be at the stroke of midnight, but maybe they got until dawn for good behavior.

I've gotten up to start of ep4. The story in the pilot is good, but there are too many ghosts and too many past incidents in the house that dilutes it. I can't tell between real people and the ghosts. Is the realtor a ghost? How about the terminal man? I doubt anyone who lived in the house survived. What about Constance and Addie or Tate? The MH on the Hollywood tour started to stretch its credibility. Would you buy a real MH if it's someplace you really want to live?
