One of the best comic book movies ever!

I've been a fan of cartoons and movies based on comic books since I watched the Batman Animated Series when I was a little girl. I have to say that Captain America-The Winter Soldier is one of the best comic book movies ever. Winter Soldier is on up there with Iron Man 1, Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers, Dark Knight, X-Men-Days of Future Past and the Tim Burton Batman movies on my list. The movie had great action, character development, and storyline. Never get tired of watching it over and over again.

The only thing I don't like is how people keep asking where are the other Avengers. The reason why it bugs me is because they give us reasons why the other members of the Avengers can't be called in Iron Man 3, Thor-The Dark World, and Captain America-The Winter Soldier. A good deal of the 2nd Thor movie takes place in Asgard and Svartalfhiem. In Iron Man 3, Tony was presumed dead. Also, Cap and Black Widow were being targeted by HYDRA agents who we thought were loyal to SHIELD and Nick Fury. A good example of that is when Jasper Sitwell told fellow agents to follow social media, use security cameras, and so on to track down Cap and Natasha. We don't know were Hawkeye or the Hulk are. The events of all three movies happen so quickly that it's hard to summon the entire Avengers team together in time.

Only nitpickers and idiots would ask where are the other Avengers. It's a Captain America movie, we can't have the avengers in each Marvel CBM.

Totally agree. One would think they would be happy that Cap's fellow Avenger, Black Widow, was in Winter Soldier.

Indeed. But nitpickers are what they are. They feel a compulsive need to do it. When there isn't any reason, they will fabricate one.

I wish they would leave everyone else alone so people can enjoy an awesome movie like Winter Soldier.

Indeed this is a great film and right there with Avengers and Iron Man as the cream of the crop.

I also agree with the stance against those that try and nitpick by saying "where are the Avengers." This film takes place close to IM3 and even Tony Stark needs to lay low after open heart surgery. In IM3, why would Tony want to call in SHIELD agents to be killed by Extremis soldiers and risk Pepper's life when he knows he has his armor army on the way? Everything holds up more than well.

You are spot on here (except for GotG...I was not infatuated with it like everyone else)...but Cap 2 is an excellent movie and near the tippy top of the Marvel cinematic universe. I was blown away with this film...it just doesn't even seem possible that it's as good as it is....definitely deserves to be an 8.5 on IMDb...7.8 is an insult to this classic.

-Last time I taught, I was like Robin Williams in Dead Poets Society...by which I mean I got fired.
