Captain is a big dude but...
In the museum scene they have him listed as 240 pounds...No
...and they mostly come at night.Mostly.

You must account for greater bone & muscle density. He'd be heavier than he looks.
It's even emphasized when Falcon catches him falling off the helicarrier - Cap's weight is clearly unexpected and almost brings both of them down.
I'm too old for this sh*t...
Good call forgot about that

Funny, I wouldn't place Evans anywhere near 200 pounds; even with all the padding!

Really?
shareYep, I remember that too. When Falcon catches him, he is shocked by how much he weighs, struggles briefly and has to adjust quickly.
sharelol, there's none of that. it's just like wrestling to make them sound bigger than they are. those are cap's "official numbers," but it's not easy finding someone that size who can act. keep in mind, the average superhero, if depicted as drawn, would all be 200+ lbs, there's no way to cast a live-action movie like that shy of tapping a football team and shredding them. and if cap is 240, picture finding thor, who is even larger.
shareAnd 6' 4" right? I dunno. 240 lbs is plausible to me especially if you take into account the higher density another poster mentioned (which Falcon even mentions).
Reading my signature constitutes admission that I am correct. (Too late)
The Captain America of my era was Reb Brown! Enough said!
