Sure as hell ain't no kiddie film

I recently took to rewatching Winter Soldier several times. It's a terrific comic book film (though not perfect) and it's really hardcore for the content. Seriously, a ton of people get machine gunned, people have hands impaled by knives, buildings are dropped on people, people are thrown from cars into oncoming traffic, etc. The body count is astronomical. If it's a "kiddie film," it's for really violent "kiddies." That said, really terrific film.

Yep. DC fanbois have their tiny brains short-circuited if there are any jokes in a comic book movie, so the moment they hear one they fizzle out and can only "think" the movie is "kiddie."

Of course, if Nolan or Snyder did a movie like that they'd "think" it was a masterpiece.

reply

Exactly, though I definitely separate the terrific Nolan from the not so terrific Snyder.

He actually hates Nolan with a passion. Look at his board history. He spends all his time on IMDB to bash on Nolan and TDK trilogy. And he thinks that Snyder is a better filmmaker than Nolan, too.

Yep. DC fanbois

You are a DC fanboy, dumbass. You said that you love original Superman movies and Tim Burton's Batman, and you said that you've been reading Batman comics your whole life. That is a DC fanboy, idiot.

reply

Rats! I thought there was a love scene or lack of clothing involving Scarlett Johansson that I missed.

reply

Agreed, Definately one of Marvels more violent films.

reply

I have to say that Winter Soldier is only of the darker Marvel movies.
