I recently took to rewatching Winter Soldier several times. It's a terrific comic book film (though not perfect) and it's really hardcore for the content. Seriously, a ton of people get machine gunned, people have hands impaled by knives, buildings are dropped on people, people are thrown from cars into oncoming traffic, etc. The body count is astronomical. If it's a "kiddie film," it's for really violent "kiddies." That said, really terrific film.
shareYep. DC fanbois have their tiny brains short-circuited if there are any jokes in a comic book movie, so the moment they hear one they fizzle out and can only "think" the movie is "kiddie."
Of course, if Nolan or Snyder did a movie like that they'd "think" it was a masterpiece.
