Question about the show/just saw 'A Wondrous Place'

Spoilers for s6e15

Ok so first off when Jasmine used her wish why not just wish to go back home, or to kill Jafar, which I think she did anyways? LOL I guess you can say....she is hell bent on her mission of finding Agrabah. Whatever, anyways, as always side characters problems are wrapped up fast. While we get more pointless Snow/charming screen time. Charming was not that bad this time round. But still. Jasmine wanted to find her city, and boom she found it, restored.....lol

If this was an Emma quest it would have taken half a season. Anyways....to my question....they found a mermaid, can't they travel through realms? Boom Killian back to Emma. This show is so confusing, the rules. Or, does our world not count as a realm?

I remember Rumple getting her to fetch him something from his shop or something....can she take someone with her? Has it been done? This show is so confusing..... 7 eps left. Would not mind more Hook screen time tbh, just what are the rules?

I think the Jasmine/Aladdin storyline was so dull, that when they left I honestly thought we'd never have to see them again, but I guess it was better to "wrap up" that story, as lame as it was.

I don't think a mermaid can physically take someone through a realm - it might've been mentioned. Especially if she has to swim, she can swim fast, to bring/carry another would probably take forever.

What confuses me is the million flashbacks they have like "in the before time"
