I have two questions that I couldn't understand

Question 1.

You know the detective, the main man, the police man who was investigating all the crimes. Why did he join the police and eventually become a detective in the first place? I mean, when he was younger. This wasn't shown in the film but it needs to be explained.

Question 2.

* spoiler* The other lady he was meant to be taking on a date at the start of the film * end spoiler * asks him does he have anyone in custardy. Why was she interested in custardy? Was it a pudding joke she was making because they couldn't go out for dinner? This wasn't shown in the film but it needs to be explained.

So to recap the above, I have two questions that I couldn't understand. Why did the main, the police man who was investigating all the crimes join the police and eventually become a detective in the first place. And to recap the second question, why was the lady * spoiler * he was meant to be taking on a date at the start of the film * end spoiler * interested in custardy and if he had anyone in it.

These were the only two questions that puzzled me. The rest of the film seemed pretty legit though.

Yes, definitely trawling for answers. Especially two.

One about the main man, the police man who was investigating all the crimes about why did he join the police and eventually become a detective in the first place. Before the film, is what I mean. Before it took place.

And another answer about the other lady he was * spoiler * meant to be taking on a date at the start of the film * end spoiler * and the custardy, by which I mean her interest if he had anyone in it. The custardy.

Boy, if I had five wishes I don't think I'd use any of them to answer the two questions but if I had one thousand wishes I would probably use one of them. To answer the questions. But if one wish couldn't answer both questions, I don't think I'd use two wishes to get both answers. But one wish I would use on both.

But I guess that would be down to the Genie's discretion.
