all the Alien prequel movies (including Romulus) cheapen/lessen Ripley and her sacrifice

This is abit of a rant so strap in..

When there was just the 4 Alien films it was literally just about Ripley, she was like the 'lone survivor' in each movie (bar 3) along with very few others, and was like earths last line of defence against the threat of the xenomorph and the Companys nefarious plans to bring it to earth . each movie she barely escapes death while those around her perish to defeat the aliens (and of course she does too in 3 in the ultimate sacrifice to prevent the queen going into the hands of the Company). And you really get the impression this was mankind's first encounter with the Alien (although there were hints in Alien 1 that the Company were already aware of it), very few know about it aside Ripley (and some top level Company execs)

yet in the ridiculous AvP films we find the f'kin Alien was on earth all along! and a Ripley-esque warrior woman(x2) takes them all out (with the help of predators). at the end of AvP1 its likely a queen probably survives! (at the bottom of the Arctic sea).. Then Prometheus (directed by Ridley of all ppl) has another Ripley-esque woman who is fighting an even bigger threat in the Engineers. In Covenant theres another Ripley type defeating 2 xenomorphs (and other creatures). And now Romulus a little Ripley is killing xenos, facehggers (and proto Engineer) left right and centre with her M41A as big Ripley catches Zzzs..

it shouldve been a no deal stipulation from Fox that any Alien movies after Ripleys HAD to be set post A3 (forget A4 set 200y later) just so to acknowledge her sacrifice and uphold/protect her badassery . Hell the original AvP comics/graphic novels were even set post A3 so wtf did Paul 'Resident Evil' Anderson pitch to Fox with setting it on present day earth?! (that Fox actually decided that was a great idea and then bankrolled!!) hed already done an Alien type spaceship movie in Event Horizon. He couldn’t figure out how to do it for AvP?? then Fox double down and do it again (but worse) for AvP 2!

and why did Ridley want to do a prequel (thus lessening his original) when he couldve still dived into the mystery of the space jockey/engineers but set it post A3 ?? the advancement in technology/FX shouldve been reason alone to set it post Alien trilogy. (Romulus can sort of get away with it bc they did uphold the 70s/80s design of Alien/Aliens, but then it still kind of cheapens Ripley knowing there this little badass who did it all better than her 30years before she woke up.. couldve easy set it post A3 same story and cast, expect Hendrikson instead of Holm )
