I've seen so many of these alien movies that they don't scare me anymore.

No, it gives me more typical horror slasher vibes than Alien movie vibes.

Horror sub genre, Jason, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc

Seems like any other Alien movie. Dark, macabre, violent, suspenseful. Only this time slow motion face huggers attacking a new crew.
