Nolan's Westworld show vs PoI

I finished Westworld and while Nolan had a hell of a lot more money to play with and was free of uncensored restrictions of free to air TV, the HBO remake wasn't that good.

It would've worked better as a cinema movie remake, in light of how extremely dated the 1973 movie is, but the recent Ex Machina movie is far superior to Westworld, in every way.

The 1973 Westworld movie was very strongly focused on the guests and I get why the TV show has totally shunned them, as most viewers wouldn't be able to relate to ultra rich people who can go there.

There's some similarities to the Batt Galactica remake, but BG did it better.

There's cool potential in other seasons, for the whole season to be a Samurai world set in old Japan, or a medieval world, that'd be like GoT.

It was difficult to emotionally engage with most of the characters and a couple intriguing sub plots by the last episode, went nowhere, so the show isn't that good.

Androids who are completely indistinguishable from humans, like in Blade Runner (the 1982 film and upcoming BR 2049 sequel) is crap, as it's not that easy. It won't be happening anytime this century, or even 100 years from now, but I'd believe it in 2364 when we see Data from Star Trek : TNG.

You'd like to think where the androids in the Westworld show are maintained and patched up, it'd be a very high security area, with 2 armed guards who'd always be in each room and there would be CCTV always watching, monitoring, listening to and recording the actions of staffers 24/7. For the show to have scenes where that's ignored, is just ludicrous, as it'd never happen.

I hope season 2 will feature some of PoI's actors.
