POI fans: is Scandal any good?

I personally think scandal is pure trash, but I don't like many political shows and didn't like House of Cards after season 1, and Boss was very average. Give it a shot though. I liked the first 4 seasons of Dexter a ton and Sons of ANarchy and Bloodline are pretty good shows too.

Scandal is a guilty pleasure. I enjoy it on a purely ridiculous level, with some of the most over-the-top and lurid plot twists imaginable. Say what you will but Shonda Rhimes knows how to entertain.  (This being said, I'm not fully caught up, and still haven't finished the 4th season...and I've heard the 5th season was overall so bad even the most dedicated fans are bailing on the show)

Now, as for comparing it to Person of Interest...well, that would be a strange "because of" recommendation for Netflix to make, since they're as different as night and day. Person of Interest is a profound, philosophical work of science fiction. It demands to be taken seriously. Scandal I don't think is even intended by its creators to be taken fully seriously.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend Scandal based on your favorite shows.

It was for about the first 3 seasons now it's run dry. It's become predictable and evident that the writers are going to keep trying to force the main romance, even though this past season proved it didn't work.

Also Rowan has become an unbeatable omnipresent and omniscient villain who's becoming way overused

Yeah, but I got bored with it.
