Boards closing

You've seen the announcement:
The IMDb message boards are soon to close.

Where shall we go for further discussion about the show?
I'd suggest the PoI subreddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PersonOfInterest/

Such an unfortunate decision! Discussions like we had here are not possible on Facebook and the other chanels. But I agree - Reddit is good and very witty writers there.

The bottom line shall be to move all discussion from IMDB (the boards are one of the few reasons to visit site), and discuss via REVIEWS on IMDB's owner site AMAZON.

Unintended consequences: Take innocuous discussions away here and then we can apply them accordingly to reviews which would no doubt hurt Amazon's bottom line.

I have a huge problem with Bezos buying up everything that allows him to control the discourse on all topics.

FYI:

TheMovieDB.org (TMDb) has forums for all
shows, movies, and people in its database.

Here's their PoI page:

https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/1411-person-of-interest

See the icons on the left side of the poster-image.
Click the first of those icons to go to the discussion page at:

And so it begins:
The first post has appeared on the TMDB PoI board:

I'm on that board, but I don't post much there anymore. Haven't been here either since the show ended and I didn't like what they did with it, blaming CBS more than the writers but still...

Facebook has several good groups that post photos and such but it's not like it's meaty discussion. And while Tumblr can be fun, it doesn't support conversation well either.

I'll miss the folks here I've had discussions with. I loved this show so desperately and the changes made it not bad but different -- I still struggle with those and there are times I can't watch it any more but I still love it, especially the first two seasons and the relationship between Reese and Finch. Not that I disliked Shaw and Root but I am of the generation that doesn't mind "episodic" television.

I have an Etsy shop where I do mugs, shirts and other things with images from favorite shows on them -- I have been doing these at SF and Trek conventions for years. I have a couple POI shirts that I've made and I take custom orders. Not that I'm trying to "sell" stuff to you guys, I just thought maybe if you miss the show and since there's really no merchandise out there for it, you might want something to remember it by.

Message me if you want the link to my shop.

Best wishes in the future. I'll be checking out the reddit again for POI to see if some old friends here show up. I don't use my AprilValen name there though.

Thanks for giving us die hard fans other options, I guess I can disable the IMDb app after the 19th since the message boards on the few shows I care about are the only real use I have for the app...
