Nolan's "Happy" Ending

Nolan should have gotten back together with Patrick. Now that Emily doesn't need him anymore and Victoria's dead, there's nothing keeping them apart.

Becoming the new Revenge head honcho is nice and all, but what Nolan always wanted throughout the show was a companion/significant other. The show makes that clear. His true happy ending would have been to end up with someone special (whether Patrick, Louise, or the social security guy), not to continue the revenge business. His biggest weakness was loneliness, and revenge was just a temporary distraction from that, not the solution.

I think he loved helping people and that was what he really wanted to do. That being said I don't think that means he wouldn't get to have a relationship. IMO he would find someone that would be good with what he did. I was hoping he was going to end up with Lousie though, she was such an great addition to the cast and I thought they were a very cute couple.
