Yes, although this is a unique movie, it seems to be influenced by Pusher in a few ways.

It deals with immigrants and drug territory in a way similar to Pusher 3. Some of the direction is similar to Refn. The endings are intense to both movies. There is a lot of electronic dance music similar to the way Orbital did the uk version of Pusher. Both are movies dealing with a main character and his situation speeding up and getting more out of control.

Also, did you notice the scene walking through the door that says Push on it?

Good shout about it being like Pusher, it doesn't need a sequel tho, definitely not imho.

I can see the similarities, especially with the original Pusher, the UK remake of The Pusher was fuckin dreadful.
