It refers to Mobile, Alabama, but Baytown, Texas is a lovely place.

Lies, I was born there. Fun fact about Baytown, the ghetto scenes in Robocop were filmed there.... they had to clean up the place to make it look like gang riddled Detroit.

Fancy meeting you here! My guy has this movie on right now and I came in to see what others were saying about it.

So anyhoo, Baytown's got some nasty ass parts in it...just try going to the San Jacinto Mall and you'll see. It's got some nice outlying areas like Beach City but I wouldn't want to live there...and I live not far from there. That smell one encounters is indeed the various refineries that line 225. It's usually only noticeable in fall/winter when the fronts are bringing the winds from the north.

grew up in baytown...family still lives there. Love Baytown, better than a lot of places I have lived.

I'm in Baytown right now, it's the only reason I even clicked on this thread. It does kind of smell like ass in certain areas. My personal opinion, the nice parts are nice, and the dirty places are extra dirty.

My Mom and Sister live in Baytown - It did seem to have an odd smell in areas when I went to visit - I did like the area though.

I live close to Baytown. The smells are bad in certain areas because of the oil refineries and chemical plants that are close by.

Nope dont have anything to do with it and lived here in Baytown TX. for most of my life it stinks at times but With ExxonMobile and every other Big Oil Company refining here it does smell at times. Good place to live and work Lots of Money in this town from the Oil Companies and lots of jobs !! One of the few towns to not feel the recession and Obamas job killing policies !!

I'ved lived in Houston my whole like & known lots of ppl from Baytown & LaPorte.

I worked out there when the BP refinery exploded & ppl died.

Do you not care that your lives are put @ risk daily?
