For Robert Taylor

I wonder sometimes if the stars of the show peruse the pages here to get a pulse of what people think or feel and if the stars, in the sky I mean, align and Robert Taylor sees this I just want to say thank you. Thank you for taking your craft seriously but not taking yourself too seriously. Most of us go to work every day but our work isn’t on display for millions of people to look at, criticize or otherwise give an educated or ignorant opinion. It takes balls to do what you do.

So, if you see this Mr. Taylor, know that you’re appreciated. Your work is appreciated and if you ever need a boost to your ego I hope these simple words help you feel how I feel about you. You are one cool dude.

A lot of actors have IMDb Pro accounts. They also read up on themselves.

Taylor might have early on but seems the type that knows he's applying himself well and might just glance and keep stepping.

Frankly, I have to say I had no idea he was Australian. He spoke perfect "Country" so had me fooled. And I'm hard to.

I truly enjoy the show. It's quality top-to-bottom believable, interesting, and cool. I'm glad I bothered. I'm late to it, that's how things happen, but I most likely will have a lot to say about this moving forward as I see more episodes.

To tell you how good it is, at one point I'd gotten lost somehow in the multiple plots and wanted to restart the series completely. I wanted to know what all was transpiring between the lead characters... and felt it so 'tight' (well-made) that a second viewing wouldn't be tiresome or boring at all. It's beautifully constructed. like a labor of love by all involved.

I'd have to agree with you and the reason for my original post is sometimes there seems to be insane expectations in some of the posts and though he's an actor he's still a human being. A human being in a very hard business. My thought, is that it would be nice to read something kind just for the sake of being kind in a profession where people see your flaws or imperfections and think it's ok to be judgmental or kinda mean sometimes.

Just a little pick me up that we all would like from time to time and if indeed, it is the case, that he cruises by here, then maybe just maybe the kind words we have left will put a smile on his face. Cause the world needs more smiles.

Thank you for contributing in a positive way. I obviously think the show is grand. :-)

We don't know the parallels with Walt and Robert if there are any. In other words, if Robert is not that into technology feeling it a "distraction" as well? If so, you're in a heap of trouble. If not, you're in luck.

Some actually interact with posters in here. Shh, tell no one. I'm not going to say a massive amount but my guess is early on at least they would voyeur as well as the 'big' folks as well, i.e., writers, directors, producers, and the actors if they have time, care, and so forth. Wouldn't you be interested? If not for validation then to see where one could improve, etc? What's working, what isn't?

Anyway back to point. True story. When "12 Years a Slave" came out some time ago, and I went into theaters more, I was my typical self and typing up a storm at its IMDb movie site. I like Michael Fassbender seeing everything he's in and thought the whole cast was stellar.

Case in point was in the beginning, and I'll keep this short in case you haven't seen it, two men were particularly brutal with a man of color who was not of the class of slave. He worked for a white man and was educated and refined. But they, the bad guy, tricked him into something then they worked him over. I was mentioning how well that scene went, and without giving away too many details, and not to bore you, said this particular actor was excellent. This poster chimed in to say that was him. We talked back and forth for days, about the film, where he was on his acting journey and so forth, and then I told him to upload a new profile pick that everything matters.

And then there is the case of my name. GFW stands for Gerry's (famous actors last name) Fascinating Woman. I am for a reason. It's an actor's first name. I made it in. ;) And it isn't through flattery of looks, but being truthful and honest. Like they say truth is a powerful magnet.
