I like the show but, they need a weapons / history expert

In just the first three episodes they have had some glaring errors with firearms. The killing with the .4570 rifle. They were used mainly by the army and buffalo hunters..4570 was called the "Army Caliber" and they were also commonly called "Buffalo Guns" "Horse Killers" was not a common nick name. The .45 caliber pistol used in the faked suicide was grossly underestimated. Either a .45 Long Colt or .45 ACP round would have caused much more damage to a skull be it from a living person or a long dead body.

I mention this because both instances were integral to the plots of each episode. This Frequently happens in movies and television. In a cowboy / western themed show you should expect the characters to know firearms. At least more so than the action hero that never reloads, never misses or gets hurt.

The 45-70 is a 405 grain bullet 3600 ft.lb. at 2000 pfs I shoot this in my Marlin SBL and it will take down anything on this planet, I also have a Alaskan .454 Casull as my CCW. There is no greater Firepower than these two weapons and the only two weapons I would consider carrying in Alaska Wyoming Montana anywhere where there is large game.

The .45-70 Gov't round can be purchased in a variety of sizes and velocities, not just the one you cited. And you're overestimating the effectiveness. I wouldn't trust it to take down a charging elephant or even a rhinoceros, but anything in North America or on two legs, absolutely.

And there are plenty of rifle rounds more powerful than a .45-70 round.

The 45-70 or the horse killer lol, will kill anything on the planet and what pray tell would be more powerful That you can carry ? by the way what do you hunt with? The 50 BMG to squirrel hunt. lol or maybe the 20 millimeter or 30 millimeter depleted uranium round which one? LOL

Calling the round ".4570" shows you are no expert yourself.

You can call it Steve then.
