A Hitchcockian Turkish slow burn


This was a well done slow and tense thriller, where things start to unravel at an uncomfortably steady pace. The lead actor is a very popular television actor in Turkey. In this, he is very natural as the nervous privileged man running from his past right toward something possibly worse.

I just saw this movie and really enjoyed it. It was very tense. I had no idea how it could possibly end, given everything that occurred throughout the film. It is my understanding that because he gave back the money, he lives happily ever after there, without his wife who he killed, of course. Is that your understanding too?

That is what I took from it, yes. The town people are going to look the other way and not resent him anymore for his actions which caused them financial ruins, and sweep the murders under the rug
