Are you serious about this. 1. The Levon/Lemon-affair, is cheating, the AREA CODE RULE is made up by cheaters because they don't want to feel bad about cheating.
2. Zoe/George, is also cheating, big kiss, small kiss, quickie in the broom closet still cheating
3."Lavon shouldn't have to mention Lemin - Well since he saw her almost every day and she still was a part of his life, I understand why Roby needed to know, when you get together with someone and it begins to get serious, you need to honest with your feeling, and since Lavon didn't tell Ruby, it was like he was hiding it from her.
4. Annabeth wanted to date Lavon and should be fine because Lemon was in a serious relationship. - I totally agree, this old time girl/boy-code where you can't date other people's ex's is dumb. just think of this example you have ten friends who have each dated ten people, so that means there is 100 people in your community you can't date, would really mean a lot of single people off-limit.

I agree with you on #1, there is no question Lemon and Lavon had an affair and Lemon most certainly was cheating since she and George were still together, even if they weren't physically in the same place.
I have to agree with part of what the OP said with regard to Zoe and George. First, a kiss , one kiss, one time, is not an affair and that was what the OP said, that they did not have an affair. Now as far as whether a kiss is cheating, I would agree with you that a kiss is cheating although in this case I don't really think it counts because George had told Lemon the wedding was off after he found out about her and Lavon. He had ended things with Lemon. Was it a good idea to sort of jump into something with Zoe that quickly, of course not. It was a bad move on both George and Zoe's parts but George had broken up with Lemon so in my book that wasn't really cheating. And no, I don't think this was a "We were on a break situation". It's been a while since I've watched episodes from S1 but I'm pretty sure George tells Lemon it's over between them.
#3, again I agree with you. You don't necessarily tell a new love interest everything about your history when you first get together but if you are getting to the point of asking them to marry you, then yeah, I think you should mention a previous relationship you had, especially when it's someone you both see on a daily basis. That being said, I would agree that this was maybe one time when things were made a little more dramatic then was necessary. Ruby got pretty upset given the situation. It's not like Lavon had been engaged to Lemon or they had secretly gotten married and he kept that from her.
The Lemon/Lavon/AB triangle is sort of a tough subject. There are people with very strong opinions on both sides of that argument as to whether or not AB was wrong to go out with Lavon. I tend to agree with you particularly because this is such a small town. The eligible dating population is pretty small, you can't eliminate everyone who has ever dated a friend, especially when you and your friends are living in the same small town you all grew up in (theoretically there would have been dating during high school years). AB developed her "crush" on Lavon long before she ever had any inkling of there being anything more than simple friendship between Lemon and Lavon. My other argument for why I don't think AB was wrong is because I don't think AB knew that Lemon STILL had feelings for Lavon, at least not before she and Lavon slept together. Lemon admitted that something had gone on between them but I don't remember there every being a time when she actually told AB "we had an affair, that's part of why George called off the wedding, and I think I still have feelings for Lavon". I know she felt guilty after the fact but I just don't think she knew Lemon still had such strong feelings for Lavon.
Maybe you are thinking of the almost kiss after George was shot with the crossbow? I think there was an almost kiss while Zoe was treating George that Lemon interrupted wasn't there?
There was certainly a fair amount of flirting between Zoe and George during season 1 and I know there are some people who think that was actually worse than when Wade cheated on Zoe with that bar slut because it was something that George carried on for months while Wade's was a one time, drunken, thing (I don't agree but I know there are people who have posted on this board and others who strongly believe that).
The only times I remember Zoe and George actually kissing are:
1 - S1- In NO after George broke things off with Lemon and he decided to be a little "wild"
2- S1 finale- At Zoe's house after George called off the wedding and Zoe had slept with Wade
3- S2- The Romeo and Juliet scene in Dash's Shakespeare production (George was with Tansy and Zoe was single but it was part of the scene)
4- S3 (near the end of the season) -At the Truit's house when the Truit brothers kidnapped Zoe and George, Zoe kisses him to convince the brothers that she and George are in love. Afterwards they have the "It would be too easy to be together and neither of us do easy" conversation when the writers finally, completely closed the door on Zoe/George
I think that's it. There might have been 1 or 2 dream sequence kisses but I don't count those.
