What's the meaning of the title???

Just started this show - liked the pilot - reminds me of Everwood - and i'm not American so i'm obviously not offended by the portrayal of southerners (The Americans need to grow a pair btw, it's fiction for God sake)

But i really don't understand the meaning of the title - the Hart part is obviously derived from her name - but what is the Dixie part of the title? it's set in the fictional Bluebell, Alabama

SO can someone explain it?

She is learning about her own self there and learning to to have heart (bedside manner). That was her flaw in NY as a doctor

Originally Zoe Hart were suppose to be Olivia Green, a lawyer. I don't know if they had already thought about the name back then.

Anyway "Hart" of the title refers to her name but also to the fact that BlueBell is in the "Heart of Dixie-land". Dixie being a nick name for the Southern US.

It should have been spelled "Bluebelle" as in southern belle. I always thought bluebell was a misspelling.
