Sad its over, but good ending

This was a great show to turn on while making dinner, folding laundry, etc. I'm sad it's over but there really wansnt anywhere else to go with it. I thought it ended well and wasn't overdone.

I loved the ending.

SPOILERS FOLLOW...

It was happy and musical and joyful to watch.

What I would love to have seen next, had they made more episodes, now that Zoe and Lemon are friends, the shenanigans they might concoct, pulling along reluctant accomplices with AnnaBeth always spilling the beans and Cricket mixing everything up, and their husbands (significant others) having to rescue them whenever they get caught, blowing their tops when they get home, and commiserating among themselves over the lives they've gotten into with these women.

Okay, that's been done before (I Love Lucy), but maybe it's time for a new generation...

I loved the ending and very much appreciated the writers ending it so nicely, funly and without a bunch of unfinished story lines! If the show had been able to stay on longer I would have happily watched all the people in that town, there were so many crazy, funny & sweet characters and story lines! For anyone who has not tried it I highly recommend watching Hart of Dixie... it was like reading a good book and not wanting to put it down and I already miss it!

Bell bottom blues you made me cry... I don't want to loose that feeling.

I feel the same way! I'm actually heartbroken is over because I truly fell in love with the characters. I will admit I quit sometime during season 2 and didn't go back until it was on Netflix. I am so thrilled I did! The development of the characters had me changing my favorites every season. The premise of the show was pretty silly and i honestly didn't see it developing much past the first season but it did. I think now that it's over I can say it ended on a high note and I am grateful we had closure. I will really miss Lemon!!!

I'm glad it didn't go way past its expiration date. The ending was good and left the characters in a good place. I just wish Don Todd would have been in the final song.

My only real gripe with the ending is that we didn't get to learn the baby's name. They should have said his name.

reply

That's my big problem with the finale too. I just don't think you have the main character and her main love interest have a baby and then not tell the audience the name. To me it's sloppy, lazy writing.

reply

Wouldn't have been interesting if Wade and Zoe had named their son after her biological father? Afterall, it was her father that led her to Bluebell.

reply

I actually have a theory that that is the exact reason why we didn't get the babies name. I think there was a discussion in the writers room with some wanting to name the baby Harley, for the reason you mentioned, and others being against it (I don't know that I think it's something Zoe would be a fan of, naming her baby after someone, at least not the first name, the middle name would have been ok). I think there were such strong opinions on both sides that I think they decided to leave us with nothing which kind of sucks. Mind you, I haven't seen anything to back this up, it's just my guess.

Just watching the first two episodes. Terrible acting, silly programme.
