I think it would be a better series if it were re-edited in chronological order, instead of a series of flashbacks that make no sense. its episodes could easily be shifted back to chronological order. It might work

Agreed. The way they did it in this series could be confusing to anyone who hasn't read the book.

Hell, I found it kinda confusing and I've read the book at least a half dozen times!

To me, it was annoying rather than confusing.

Oh, the annoying definitely topped the confusing for me, too! Though that aspect aside, I didn't think the adaptation was nearly as bad as it was made out to be...
