Well... that's something
The good:
Jovan Adepo and Owen Teague were good casting choices.
There were additions of elements of the book. The Yankee Yanker for example.
The bad
The cast was failed. There are a lot of good actors in this that were undercut by the script and editing.
Mother Abigail should exude love, faith and trust. In this, she was just there. Randall Flagg should be charming, menacing and dangerous. Here he just floated and looked like he should host Good mystical morning.
This follows through with the rest of the characters. Part of it comes from the editing and non-linear story.
Best improvement: Harold
Second best improvement: Larry
Worst adaptation: Lloyd.
Second worst: the Trashcan Man
All in all, it's passable. It misses the heart of the book and 94 miniseries, but the acting is better. Molly Ringwald was not good.
5.5 ot of 10 is fair.
