I usually like the show but...

I watched this episode today that made the brothers look like reckless amateurs, "Renting to Renovating"

First of all they walk a couple into buying a home for just $20k under their budget, and the next day find out the attic is a fire hazard and will cost $5000 to fix, and then they break the original stained glass window which was the most important element to the lady, and really rather heartbreaking that happened, I mean it was one disaster after another, and the only ones who really suffered were the homebuyers... I found that episode to be a catastrophe, I mean I know there are bad days, but this was clearly one of them.

In their defense the final renovation is beautiful and that's what matters most.

they're not as bad as Hillary from Love it or List it.. they at least plan contingincies.. she doesn't and she never does more than half of what sets out to.

Actually Hilary does plan contingencies, but there's always something eating it up. The homeowners have a huge list with a small budget.

That being said, I recently saw that episode. There are some things you just can't plan for, and when you have multiple people coming and going and having to haul large things, accidents happen. They fixed the window, if I remember correctly. I'd imagine that the broken window, since it was Jonathan's crew's fault, was taken care of by the show.

Crouton! Crouton! Crunchy friends in a liquid broth.
