So I am home sick and seeing a lot of this show....

So what's the deal here? They find a wreck of a house, top to bottom...and renovate ONE floor?

When shall we three meet again?

Pretty much. And it's a lucky buyer who gets that one floor done. In most cases on this show (of the episodes I've seen), the buyers are lucky to get one or two rooms of that one floor done. This coming after the Brothers have promised to renovate the whole house to make it the buyer's "dream home."

I read an article awhile ago that said they renovate the whole house but the homeowners decide which room/rooms they want to feature. In some of the episodes after they show them the finished home, when they are leaving they tell the homeowners that they have more surprises and things to see.

I'm so glad to hear this. I always picture them going to sleep in their creepy trashed bedroom because they only had money to do the downstairs.

I always pictured the same thing LOL. A nice brand new kitchen and living room but sleeping in a ghetto bedroom with old cruddy furniture. I guess it makes sense due to time restraints to not show each and every reno. Good to know!

I'm pretty sure the show pays a good amount of the renovation costs, so the homeowner has plenty of money in their own budget to fix up the rest of the house.
Its an design show so its not very fun to watch a home being re-roofed so they skip that part.

They also help with the yard in some places too -- but you never see it featured. Yes, they do the whole house but only a few rooms are featured.
