Congratulations To Dave Chappelle For Punching Through The Glass Ceiling Of "Explaining" He's A Comedian...

... To qualify his jokes for moron swj / twitter warrior types.

I've become so fed up of comedians over the past few years explaining themselves in their routines. When I watch a comedy show, I want it to take me away from the the day to day boredom of everyday life, including fake social media outrage, so I find myself either skipping over, or just stopping, watching a show when comedians start doing that bit with "This isn't really what I think, I'm doing a persona for comedy effect"...

I find it a total sell out and unfortunately most comedians seem the need to do it - Gervais, Burr, Jefferies, Boyle, etc - even Chappelle himself, in some of his previous specials.

But this time he didn't do it! He just did his routine. It was okay, not his best ever show or anything, but funny enough and he didn't have an apology / disclaimer section...

So, well done Chappelle 👍
