O/T: Movies from the 60's
Any suggestions?
shareMany hundreds of movies in the 60s.
Just what do you want?
This is mostly for conversation's sake, but I guess I should be more specific. I'm literally open to anything, can't go wrong with a comedy though. I really enjoyed Barefoot in the Park after it was mentioned on the show and I've recently discovered (rediscovered?) Shirley MacLaine.
shareYou want a comedy from the 60s?It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057193/Check out the cast, it's amazing! Definitely less laid back than Barefoot..., but still a very fun romp.---On IMDb, nobody knows you're a (I said nobody knows!).
shareLooks good, thanks! I admit the only Spencer Tracy movie I've ever seen is Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. I should make an effort to watch some more.
shareCharade (1963)
How to Steal a Million (1966)
Wait Until Dark (1967)
The Wild Bunch (1969)
Kiss Me, Stupid (1964)
Marnie (1964)
The Lion in Winter (1968)
Days of Wine and Roses (1962)
Nice! Thanks! I like the amount of Audrey Hepburn on your list, the only one I've seen being Charade, which was great. Now I just need to find the time to watch these.

Where Eagles Dare
The Guns of Navarone
Wait Until Dark
Battle of Britain
And even though it's a 2009 movie, OSS 117: Lost in Rio just oozes the very essence of 60's movies. It really feels like it was made around '65-'67.
..Joe
Barbarella
One Million Years B.C.
Boston and Philly love to slander us, but they don't have as many fans as us
My favorite two comedies of all times from the 60s both have Jack Lemmon -- The Odd Couple and also The Out of Towners. I saw the remake of the Out of Towners and it doesn't hold a candle.
They are both SO hilarious I have them on DVD so I can watch whenever.

sorry just wondering what does O/T mean ?. but on the subject sweet bird of youth is good or the fortune cookie.
shareO/T means off topic... :)
Don't miss the quintessential 60s "jet set" multiple Oscar-winning 'Darling' (1965), starring Julie Christie, in her (haunting) prime.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059084/
Then there's Demi Moore in 'Flawless'... made in 2007, but SET in 1960... while Demi's acting is dubious, the filmmakers did a great job capturing the fashion, interior design, attitudes towards working women, and general mores of the era. It also stars Michael Caine, FTW.

I would recommend Sunday in New York since it has Jane Fonda and you enjoyed Barefoot in the Park.
Also check out Come Fly With Me which is a movie about Pan Am stewardesses in the 1960s. It's kinda hard to find, it's on TCM time to time and it's on YouTube. Here is the link:

I would also suggest:

A New Kind of Love
Love with the Proper Stranger
Sex and the Single Girl
